Gerard van de Aast was appointed Director of Reed Elsevier Group plc and Reed Elsevier PLC, and Chief Executive Officer of Reed Elsevier's Business division in December 2000 and appointed to the Executive Board of Reed Elsevier NV in April 2001.

Prior to joining Reed Elsevier, Mr. van de Aast was Vice President of Compaq's Europe, Middle East and Africa business. His most recent position was Vice President and General Manager of Compaq's Enterprise Solutions and Service Group. Before this he was Vice President of Compaq's Systems Integration Business Unit in Europe, specialising in e-business.

Before joining Compaq, Mr van de Aast spent six years in the US with Digital Equipment Corporation in various senior management roles including Vice President, Worldwide Alliances. Prior to joining Digital Equipment Corporation Mr van de Aast was with Philips in The Netherlands.

Peter de Monnink

As Chief Strategy and Internet Officer, Peter de Monnink drives e-revenue growth by leveraging best practices and e-competency across Reed Business, with responsibility for company strategy worldwide. He started his career as a teacher in Economics, joining Elsevier NV in 1988 as a product manager in the B2B Unit (Misset). Thereafter, Peter held several roles within RBI NL: Publisher, Managing Director, Internet Director and Director of Strategy. In January 2005 he was appointed to his most recent role as Director Internet Business for Reed Business. Peter is based in the Amsterdam office.
Luke Rattigan

As Managing Director, RBI Developing Countries, Luke Rattigan is responsible for developing the publishing businesses in China, India and Russia. He formerly worked in a number of strategic roles across Reed Elsevier in New York and London, most recently as Director of Global Strategy & Development. He has helped to lead expansion efforts into China, spearheaded innovation and e-strategies, and headed up a mergers and acquisitions team. Luke began his career with Elsevier in 1999 as a Business Development Manager in London.
Trevor Jenkins

Trevor, a qualified chartered accountant, graduated with a First class Honours degree from Edinburgh University, pursing his early career in corporate finance and venture capital. From 1990-96, he pursued various positions at Mars, followed by a role as CFO of Financial Times Interactive Data from 1996-1998. Since 1998, he was been with Reed Elsevier, currently serving as the CFO of Reed Business.
Carel de Bos

Carel F.H. de Bos is Chief Information Officer for Reed Business. Before joining Reed Business in January 2004, Carel held several executive positions, serving as CIO of global venture capital company The Vanenburg Group in the Netherlands, Vice President of AltaVista Internet Software, and past director of RR Donnelley & Sons Company, where he helped to form Stream International Inc. and was responsible for the introduction of the “PowerBase” publishing platform in Europe. Carel has also worked at Philips Information Systems, and at a large software services bureau in the Netherlands.
Tad Smith

Tad Smith arrived at RBI in 2000 as President of Internet operations, later becoming President, Media Division, with responsibility for print and electronic franchises including Variety, Publishers Weekly, Broadcasting & Cable, Multichannel News, MarketCast, JCK, Interior Design and Home Textiles Today. In 2004, he became EVP of RBI, adding Reed Construction Data and RSMeans, two leading construction information companies, to his responsibilities. In 2005, he was appointed CEO of RBI-US, overseeing a portfolio of more than 100 publications, 75 Webzines and a range of business services.
Keith Jones

Keith Jones joined IPC magazines as in 1977. He worked in a variety of roles, which ranged from marketing/promotions before becoming Publishing Director of the Women's Weeklies Group. Keith joined the IPC Board in 1992, taking on the role of Specialist Group Managing Director, and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Reed Business Information UK in 1995.
Marianne van Leeuwen

Marianne van Leeuwen joined Reed Business Information Netherlands as CEO in 2005 from RBI US, where she was President of the Boston Division. Prior to that, she was President of Reed Business Information in France (1997-2001), Publisher at Misset (1995-1997) and Managing Director of Nederlands Studie Centrum, Netherlands (1992-1995). She graduated in law in 1987.
David Israel

David Israel was appointed CEO, International for Reed Business Information in November 2002, to oversee the company's developing publishing and data businesses in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Scandinavia, Australia and Asia. David joined Reed Business Information US in December 2000 as Division President, Construction and Retail. Prior to that, he served as CEO, Classified Ventures Inc, a leading provider of online classified advertising and services. David has over 20 years experience in publishing and information services.
Antoine Duarte

Born in 1965, Antoine Duarte studied business management. He was recently Managing Director of the Yahoo! Group in France.

Prior to this Antoine held various senior positions in the media sector. He started his career at AZ Publicité and created an ad-brokering firm for the regional publications of Hachette Filipacchi Régions in the East of France. He then worked for the Expansion group as Commercial and Advertising Director. He participated in the launching of several publications including "L'Entreprise en solo" and the evening daily "18h.com".

In January 2000, Antoine became Commercial Director for the radio sector of IP France and, in March 2001, General Manager of IP France (RTL group). He arrived at Yahoo! in 2002 as Commercial Director. He was named General Manager of Yahoo! France in 2003 and, in January 2006, named CEO of the Yahoo! Group in France (Yahoo!, Yahoo Search Marketing and Kelkoo). Antoine joined RBI-France in July 2006 as CEO.
