Our people are our strength. Our workforce of over 33,000 people has an average length of service of nine years.
Our people team is responsible for recruiting talented individuals and helping them develop in their role. We provide innovative learning and development opportunities for our employees and work with them to create an inclusive culture that enables a high-performing and engaged workforce.
Our employees have the right to a healthy and safe workplace and as well as complying with all employee-related reporting requirements, we’re also committed to promoting workplace wellbeing of our employees.
We want to do what we can to help keep our people physically and emotionally healthy. Our global Living Well programme was launched in 2014 and has been going from strength-to-strength. In 2016, it won Best Health and Wellbeing Initiative at the CIPD People Management Awards.
Reward and recognition
Our RBI Recognising Brilliance! Awards celebrate the teams and individuals who shape our company, rewarding those among us who’ve really put in a stellar performance.
We believe that delivering on our seven competencies is what drives our success and we recognise our people – both teams and individuals – who go above and beyond to deliver value.
Our ability to attract, motivate and retain high performing people is vital to our business and our pay philosophy and reward principles are underpinned by external equity, internal equity and pay for performance.
We follow rigorous internal processes and carry out internal audits to ensure pay parity for employees doing the same or similar work in a geography. Additionally, we have a whistle-blower process via an internal hotline to ensure that any issue can be reported without prejudice.
We are committed to following all local employee legislation, regulations and laws. We conduct regular surveys to gather employee feedback. Each year we conduct pulse surveys across the business to hear from employees about how we’re doing, to ensure we make RBI a great place to work.
