Richard has worked in the farming sector all his life, having been brought up on a family farm in North Yorkshire. He has spent the past 10 years working for Farmers Weekly, specialising in arable farming and previously had a career in agricultural research with ADAS and the University of Nottingham.

Johann worked on farms and studied for a degree in agriculture before joining Farmers Weekly in 1997. His main areas of expertise include agri-politics, the rural environment – and how farming can adapt to meet rising demand for food in the 21st century.

Geert has worked for Reed Business NL since 1994 on weekly publication Boerderij. He started as mechanization and arable editor and later became chief of the editorial staff.
He is currently chief editor responsible for Boerderij.
He ran the family farming business with his father until 2007.

Jan Vullings joined Reed Business NL in 1985 working on their agricultural titles as a reporter and was also involved in various agricultural activities including farming levies and welfare issues, swine fever outbreaks and the BSE crisis.
From 2001, he took on the role of news co-ordinator and chief reporter.
From January 1, 2012 he joined Geert Hekkert as part of the editorial leadership of Boerderij. He is responsible for all the sub-brand magazines, online presence and events belonging to his portfolio. From 1 January 2013 he also took on responsibility for the Groenten&Fruit brand.

Rhian joined Farmers Weekly in 2012 after completing a PG Diploma in newspaper journalism at Cardiff University. She worked as a livestock reporter and then deputy livestock editor before being made editor earlier this year (2017).
She is a beef and sheep farmer’s daughter from South Wales and is now based in Shropshire. In her spare time, she enjoys helping her partner on his dairy farm.

Oli is the son of a sheep farmer from Somerset. After working as a local newspaper reporter, he joined Farmers Weekly as a reporter on the arable desk in 2015.
Oli is now Community and Farmlife editor, heading up Farmers Weekly’s social media strategy.

Jake is an experienced journalist specialising in agriculture, food and rural affairs. After graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2012 he joined Farmers Weekly and Poultry World the same year.
In 2016, he was made editor of Poultry World and later that year joined with Proagrica’s portfolio of international titles, combining our global magazine with the British team to create a leading publication for the poultry sector.
